American Homepatient Validates Benefits Of Using Authentidate's InscrybeTM Healthcare Platform
Adds new eOrder Module introduced on Inscrybe Platform
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J.
April 23, 2007
Authentidate Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: ADAT), a worldwide provider of secure enterprise workflow management applications, today announced that American HomePatient, Inc. (OTCBB: AHOM), one of the nation's largest home medical equipment providers, is realizing significant improvement in operational efficiencies from the use of Inscrybe Healthcare. American HomePatient began implementing the eCMN capabilities of Inscrybe at all of its billing centers and over 250 branch locations nationwide in 2006. With a view to driving further physician service improvements and internal productivity gains, American HomePatient has also signed up as the first customer for Authentidate's new Inscrybe eOrder module, introduced to the market today.
Inscrybe Healthcare is a web-based enterprise-class platform that brings together an integrated suite of capabilities, which allows participants in the healthcare industry to securely exchange and track a variety of documents such as certificates of medical necessity (eCMN), prior authorizations (ePA), electronic claims attachments (eCA), and plans of care for skilled nursing services (ePOC). eOrder, the newest module, streamlines the management of orders placed by physician offices. As with any of the above Inscrybe modules, eOrder is designed to seamlessly accommodate transactions over the web and via fax.
"We are realizing significant operational efficiencies as a result of deploying the Inscrybe eCMN capabilities in our billing centers and branch locations. Over the past 12 months, we have seen a 65% reduction in turnaround time of documents processed by physician offices through Inscrybe, a significant reduction in unbilled dollars, and a marked improvement in internal document processing throughput. Besides a direct impact on our bottom line, it has improved the service experience for our physician and patient communities," commented Doug Gouy, Senior Vice President of Revenue Management at American HomePatient, Inc. "And now, by utilizing eOrder, our referral sources will be able to place and track orders with just a few simple mouse clicks, and we will be able to track and document these orders with similar ease."
"We are very pleased with the success American HomePatient has experienced using Inscrybe Healthcare, and look forward to expanding our relationship with them as they adopt our new eOrder module," commented Jakes Srinivasan, Vice President, Corporate Development for Authentidate. He added, "Inscrybe Healthcare offers our customers a fully hosted service, that does not require software downloads, is easy to implement, and allows our customers to cost-effectively focus on the important task of growing their businesses."
On April 24, 2007, at the Medtrade Spring 2007 conference in Las Vegas, American HomePatient and Authentidate will jointly present a case study on how technology and process innovations may be cost-effectively deployed to improve operational efficiencies, deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction, and raise process integrity standards.
