Please remember that after signing a document you will not have the ability to add or remove anything from the Word document unless you save it under a different name, which invalidates the signature.

- In MS Word, from the "Tools" menu, choose: Tools > USPS® Electronic Postmark® > Options.
- Select the Digital Certificate or Username and Password radio button under Identity Authentication.
- Click [OK].
What is the ID located on the USPS EPM signature block?
A unique code that helps the USPS EPM service to identify your postmarked transaction.
Can I change a document once I have applied a USPS EPM seal to it?
Yes. To change a document that you have already electronically postmarked, simply save it under a differnt file name. This will "break" the original EPM seal that you applied to the document, an allow the newly name document to become alterable. You may now apply a new USPS EPM seal to your altered document to ensure its authenticity.
