Sentara Implementing Two Inscrybe Healthcare Modules: Electronic Plan of Care and Electronic Certificate of Medical Necessity

Authentidate Holding Corp. Sentara Home Care Services has selected two of the five available Inscrybe Healthcare modules, electronic Plan of Care (ePOC) and electronic Certificate of Medical Necessity (eCMN), to streamline key operations, reduce document processing costs and accomplish its overall goal of achieving greater operational efficiency.

The Inscrybe Healthcare platform will help facilitate Sentara's transition from its existing paper-driven processes for completing Plan of Care (POC) forms to a more secure, highly efficient online system. Authentidate's service will enable the Sentara Home Care Services team to instantly send POCs to physicians directly from their homecare practice management and billing system. Attending physicians can review and sign POC documents securely over the web or receive fax copies and sign and fax the documentation into the system as an electronic image. Sentara will also use the Inscrybe Healthcare platform to more efficiently manage, transmit, track and process Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN). All of the modules on Authentidate's platform have been designed to support compliance with existing industry procedures and guidelines.
