More than 80% Electronic Signed Invoices in the First Year
Tool manufacturer Precitool trusts in Authentidate signature technology

DÜSSELDORF, Germany
April 22, 2008

Tool manufacturer Precitool is making use of Authentidate signature products and services for its electronic billing system. The medium-sized company with 350 employees decided to introduce electronic billing to reduce the costs of sending out invoices while speeding up the billing process.

The tool manufacturer has already converted more than 80 % of its invoice recipients to the electronic alternative in the first year after introducing Authentidate signature technology.

"The changeover went quickly and without complications, both on our part and on the part of our invoice recipients," says Erwin Summerer, Managing Director of Precitool. "This is particularly because we also incorporated a solution for easy signature verification from Authentidate at the same time as we introduced our signature solution."

For this purpose, Precitool is making use of the Authentidate Signature Check Webservice  (www.signature-check.com). The Webservice enables invoice recipients to verify the signature without any additional software. And the service costs the invoice recipients nothing whatever, is available 24/7 all over the world and at the same time considerably enhances the willingness to accept the new electronic billing system.

Since Precitool also serves customers abroad, including fifteen European countries, one basic requirement was that the signature solution also meet international requirements. This is ensured by the Authentidate signature solution, which has already been put to the test by other companies for years.

What is more, the Signature Check Webservice fulfills international requirements in an especially user-friendly way. For instance, the signature is also available to all users in French or English. The results of the verification process are provided in the respective language. Hence the verification records can be archived in a national language. Five additional languages are available on request.

"We are very happy that Precitool has successfully implemented the conversion from pa-per to electronic billing using the internationally tested Authentidate eBilling signature solu-tion. This shows perfectly clearly that the electronic signed invoice can be put to use quickly and pragmatically by medium-sized companies, as well, and thus substantially help them cut down on costs," says Jan C. Wendenburg, Chief Executive Officer of Authentidate International AG.

Another reason why Authentidate signature products are so easy to introduce is that they can be integrated very flexibly. For example, the signed invoices can be sent to recipients by e-mail or downloaded from a portal. Thus this system is also very user friendly.

The next step Precitool is planning is to convert invoice receipts to the electronic signed form as well.
