InscrybeTM Health Information Exchange Overview

Inscrybe Healthcare adheres to the developing specifications for certified Health Information Exchanges that is being led by CCHIT. Inscrybe goes one step further than traditional HIEs and supports more complex clinical and administrative workflows. This strategy allows HIE administrative entities to create additional value to stakeholders, thereby ensuring that the implementation is profitable and sustainable.

The Inscrybe HIE implementation also set out to solve the adoption challenges faced by many HIEs. Our solution ensures that all intended parties can interact with the system  today, utilizing a combination of web, phone, fax and telehealth technology. This reduces the need for costly adoption programs and protects previous investments in systems and technology.

Key Components

Master Patient Index
and Record Location Service are used together to uniquely identify patient records across multiple clinical and administrative systems. Once identified, a longitudinal view of a patient's history can be constructed for use in many different workflows.

Communication Engine defines how patient records and other health information should be exchanged between various parties. It takes into account each party's preferences with respect to mode of communication, data formats and work schedules.

Integration Adapters interface with internal customer systems to facilitate the seamless flow of information between disparate applications.

Other Inscrybe HIE Components

User and Content Authentication is implemented using the United States Postal Service Electronic Postmark (USPS® EPM®). This solution ensures that access records can be verified at a later date, enhancing compliance policies.

Electronic Signature and Timestamps add incremental value to information exchanges by automating the collection and storage of signatures on specific healthcare documents. Many Inscrybe workflows integrate electronic signature and timestamps.

Workflow Management in Inscrybe enables customers and communities to quickly create solutions that solve specific healthcare problems.
