The EPM® Plug-in for Microsoft® Office, available as a free download from Authentidate® *, enables users to easily use the EPM® service to ensure content integrity and date-and-time stamp Word and Excel documents.
Just create an account, download the software and click the EPM menu item in the Word or Excel toolbar to apply an EPM seal to a document. This enables detection of document tampering and verification of a document's authenticity online.
EPM seals issued by Authentidate, and applied to any document through the Plug-in or any other other Authentidate service offering, are stored in an approved and highly secure environment for up to seven years from the date of application. The U.S. Postal Service® serves as the backup verifier for all EPM seals applied.
Now, imagine the time, cost and energy saved! Instead of creating Word documents and printing them to be signed and sent, keep your Word documents in their native form, digitally sign them with an EPM seal and process them through the email system of your choice.
