Authentidate Teams with RSA Security to Provide Simplified Content Authentication Infrastructure for Enterprise Users
New Technology Improves Usability and Deployment of Solutions for Digital Signing and Content Authentication within Large Enterprises

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.
Aug 18, 2005

Authentidate Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: ADAT) today announced that it is leveraging the RSA(R) Federated Identity Manager within Authentidate's Persistent Identity Engine(TM) technology to enable application of authentication procedures to electronic content such as documents, files and transactions. Authentidate is a member of the RSA Secured(R) Partner Program, which certifies the interoperability of Authentidate's Persistent Identity Engine with RSA Federated Identity Manager.

The Persistent Identity Engine is proprietary Authentidate(R) technology that simplifies ease of authentication in sites with large numbers of users. RSA Federated Identity Manager facilitates the enabling of communication between disparate, autonomous domains. The Persistent Identity Engine technology utilizes existing identity and access management infrastructure and enables centralized digital certificate management to provide a "single sign-on" capability for users across these autonomous domains. This allows enterprise security networks to eliminate much of the complexity and cost of deploying authentication capabilities within large enterprises. For example, the new solution would now allow for enterprise users across domains to seamlessly register for, and use, electronic signature capability within seconds, while eliminating many of the implementation and maintenance issues for the network manager.

"This unique solution directly addresses large companies' need for cost-effective, enterprise-wide solutions that allow authorized network users to conveniently authenticate any form of digital content, such as emails, faxes, documents or transactions," said Suren Pai, President and CEO of Authentidate.

"We are pleased to be partnering with RSA Security as we continue to build out our solutions capabilities in the digital authentication space," Pai added. "These new capabilities enable Authentidate to better meet the needs of large enterprises and enable broader, simpler usage and management of our authentication solutions."

"We are pleased that Authentidate has chosen to leverage RSA Federated Identity Manager technology within its new Persistent Identity Engine technology," said Stuart Cohen, director of partner development at RSA Security. "The certified integration between the RSA Security and Authentidate solutions will help deliver the greatest value to customers seeking the benefits associated with federated identities."
